The Best Metro Areas for a Talent Pipeline

Site Selection Group has recognized Bangor, Maine as the leading city for "millennial growth". The Town of Orono is located within the Bangor labor market and is instrumental in developing the future pipeline of talent for the region. While the nation's median age is 37.6, and Maine's median age is 43.9, The Town of Orono, at 21.6, has the lowest median age of any community within the state of Maine.

Community Thanksgiving Dinner
November 17, 2016

Members of staff from various departments in the town office, personnel from the Police & Fire Departments, as well as participants from numerous local businesses came together to provide a home cooked Thanksgiving meal for the community at the Birch Street School. A handful of the Orono Police Officers also hand delivered 190 meals to community members that were unable to make it to the school.
